One Longboard. More Possibilities.

The Spoon is the updated evolution of the ECS Modern Pig — a board known for combining old-school style with everyday surfability.

Its wider hipped tail, generous nose and refined rails allow you to trim, cross-step and nose ride, then step back and redirect the board with confidence. It is traditional enough to feel smooth and stylish, but responsive enough to keep your surfing active.

Who Is the Spoon For?

The Spoon is a great choice if you:

• Want one versatile longboard for everyday conditions
• Enjoy trimming, cross-stepping and nose riding
• Still want responsive turns from the tail
• Are progressing from a beginner board into a more refined longboard
• Want traditional style without the specialised feel of a heavy log
• Prefer a board that can suit relaxed sessions and more active surfing

It can suit progressing beginners through to experienced longboarders, depending on rider size and chosen board length.

How Does It Ride?

The Spoon paddles easily and carries speed smoothly through weaker sections.

Its single-entry nose concave creates lift and control while riding forward. Through the middle, rolled vee helps the board move naturally from rail to rail. A slight vee-double concave through the fin area adds release and responsiveness when you step back to turn.

The 50/50 rails preserve a smooth traditional feel, while softer rails through the tail and a wider hip make drop-knee turns and direction changes easier. The rocker and tail lift provide enough hold for confident nose riding without making the board feel slow or cumbersome.

Built for Style and Versatility

Wider hipped tail — Creates an easy pivot point and improves responsiveness from the back of the board.

Single nose concave — Adds lift, trim speed and control when moving forward.

Rolled vee through the middle — Produces smooth rail-to-rail transitions.

Soft rear rails with vee-double concave — Help the board release cleanly through turns.

Balanced rocker and tail lift — Support easy paddling, smooth trim and dependable nose-riding hold.

The more responsive option. Best for lighter riders, experienced surfers and anyone wanting easier turning while retaining genuine longboard glide.

The all-round choice. Best for additional paddle power, stability and glide while still maintaining the Spoon's responsive character.

The Spoon vs Other ECS Models

Choose the Spoon for the best balance of classic longboard style and everyday versatility.

Choose the Canggu Log when traditional logging, glide and nose riding are the priority.

Choose the ACE for lightweight EPS construction and a more performance-focused feel.

Choose the Jack Rabbit XL when speed, drive and aggressive manoeuvrability matter most.

Choose the Flowmaster for smooth cruising, easy flow and multi-fin versatility.

Why ECS?

Since 2006, ECS has designed boards to make real-world surfing more enjoyable.

The Spoon reflects that approach perfectly: easy enough to enjoy in average conditions, refined enough to keep rewarding you as your longboarding progresses.

One Board for More Sessions

The Spoon is made for the surfer who does not want to choose between style and performance.

Paddle out, find your line and surf the whole wave.
